UGangIt FAQ

Learn more about our service and how to use it.

Basics

What is UGangIt?

UGangIt is an online service that makes creating print-ready gang sheets quick and easy — no special software required. Powered by Kixxl’s AI-powered gang sheet builder, it automatically arranges, nests, and prepares your designs for printing. Once your file is ready, you can download it or forward it to any print vendor you choose.

Do I need a printer to use UGangIt?

No. UGangIt is designed for anyone — whether you print in-house or send your files to a third party. You can download your completed gang sheet or forward it directly to your printer.

Why not just gang in Photoshop, Illustrator, Corel, or other graphic software?

Those are certainly valid choices, but they’re manual and time-consuming. With UGangIt, powered by Kixxl’s AI gang sheet builder, your designs are automatically arranged, nested, and optimized in seconds — no dragging, aligning, or math required. Plus, the Kixxl gang sheet builder includes built-in tools like halftoning and background knockouts that are specifically designed for DTF and other print processes, making file prep faster and easier than in general-purpose design software. And when time is money, UGangIt saves both — reducing labor costs by completing in minutes what might otherwise take hours.

Do I need to install any software?

No installation is needed — UGangIt runs entirely in your web browser. If you want to offer the same AI-powered gang sheet builder on your own website, check out Kixxl.com for integration options.

Can I use UGangIt from my phone or tablet?

Yes. Mobile and tablet devices work fine, but using a desktop or laptop gives you more screen space for detailed adjustments.

Files & Artwork

What file types do you accept?

UGangIt accepts PNG, PDF, SVG, AI, EPS, and JPG files. For best results, upload artwork without a background (transparent where needed). If your file has a background you don’t want, you can use the built-in background remover before finalizing your layout.

What resolution should my files be?

300 DPI at the final print size is ideal for sharp, detailed prints. Lower resolutions may appear soft or blurry when printed. Avoid simply enlarging a small or low-resolution image, or increasing the resolution in software like Photoshop without improving the actual quality — this does not create real detail and will still result in poor print quality. Starting with high-quality artwork is the best way to ensure great results.

Can I upload multiple designs at once?

Yes. UGangIt uses the Kixxl gang sheet builder to let you upload multiple files at once, adjust them as needed, and have them automatically arranged for you.

Will UGangIt change my colors?

No. Your colors will stay exactly as uploaded unless you use the color removal or replacement tool. If you do, be aware that the replacement colors you choose may or may not be achievable by your print vendor’s equipment, which could result in a visual difference from what you see on screen.

Do you store my designs after I upload them?

If you’re logged in when you build your gang sheets and place an order, your designs are saved in your private library for future use.

Using the Service

How does the AI-powered auto-nesting work?

Once you upload your designs, set your sizes and quantities. UGangIt then uses Kixxl’s AI-powered gang sheet builder to automatically arrange and rotate them to maximize space and reduce waste. You can adjust the layout manually at any time.

Can I manually move and resize my designs?

Absolutely. Even after auto-nesting, you have full control to adjust placement, size, and rotation — and tweak to your heart’s content. But Kixxl’s AI does such a great job that you’ll probably find you don’t need to make many changes.

Can I save my gang sheet to work on later?

Yes — but you must be logged into your UGangIt account. Once saved, you can return later and continue where you left off.

How do I download my finished file?

You’ll receive an email with a link to download your file(s). Once downloaded, your print-ready file will be saved to your device.

Ordering & Printing

Can I open previous orders?

Yes. If you’re logged into your account, you can access your past orders from within the Kixxl AI gang sheet builder to make adjustments and generate new files.

Can I send my file directly to my printer?

Yes. You can forward your gang sheet to any print vendor or upload the file(s) using their preferred submission method.

What if my printer doesn’t have a gang sheet builder?

That’s exactly where UGangIt helps — we prepare a ready-to-print gang sheet so your printer doesn’t need a builder.

Does UGangIt offer printing services?

No. UGangIt itself does not print. However, you can forward your file to any print vendor you prefer, including those who use the Kixxl AI-powered gang sheet builder.

Pricing & Accounts

Do I need an account to use UGangIt?

You can browse and start creating without an account, but you must be logged in to save your gang sheets, access your private design library, or open previous orders.

Is there a cost to use UGangIt?

Yes. Pricing is based on the size of your gang sheet, not the number of designs you upload. The total is shown before checkout so there are no surprises.

Do I need a subscription?

No. UGangIt works on a pay-as-you-go basis. You can also pre-purchase volume credits to use at any time, which lowers your per-sheet cost.
